Wiltshire Council – Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Temporary Closure of: The Street (Part), Kilmington (TTRO 7655)
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic:
The Street (Part) Kilmington: for a distance of approximately 25m either side of property known as The Old Chapel.
To enable: Wessex Water to carry out new connection and associated works.
Alternative route: via The Street (unaffected length – Cote Lane – C55- B3092 – The Street (unaffected length) and vice versa.
The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order will come into operation on 01 December 2021 and the closure will be required rom 09.30 – midnight for 3 days. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather condition. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
The order will have a maximum duration of 18 months.

Elections are taking place in Wiltshire on Thursday, 6 May.
There are three different Polls taking place on this day and, for the first time in very many years, an election will be held to decide the Councillors who will represent Kilmington Parish Council for the next four years. Please see here Statement of Persons Nominated for Parish Council
You should have all received your Polling Cards and will have noted that due to the closure of Whitesheet School, the Polling Station will be the Home Guard Club, on Kilmington Common.
