Butts Lane – (Road Closure 23 October )

SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER (No.33) 2023 (Ref TTRO 9008)

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily, to all vehicles, the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice.
The order is required to enable carriageway patching, surface dressing and associated maintenance works and will be operative from the 23 October 2023 for a maximum period of
18 months. The closures are anticipated to be for up to 5 days but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works.
It is anticipated that advance signs will be deployed 2 weeks prior to the closure dates.
Access will be maintained where possible although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
The closures are anticipated to take place between 23 October 2023 and 01 December 2023.

Schedule
1. Bells Lane, Zeals and Stourton with Gaspar; from its junction with C380 to its
junction with High Street.
2. Butts Lane, Kilmington; from its junction with New Road to its junction with Cokers
Lane.

Alternative routes (vice versa)
1. Via High Street – B3092 – C380.
2. Via Dukes Lane – Bradley Lane – New Road.

All works will be published on Wiltshire Council website https://one.network/public when confirmed dates are known.

The Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust provides a free home security and Stay Safe Online service for people O’60 and those aged 18+ with a registered disability living in Wiltshire.

The schemes are for those who have become or are at risk of becoming a victim of house crime, cybercrime, or domestic abuse.

If you are eligible and don’t feel that you have adequate home security or would like advice about staying safe whilst using your electronic devices/computer, please contact us to arrange a visit.

Notice of Appeal on Planning Application PL/2022/06380 Treoaks, Butts Lane, Kilmington.

The applicants of the above planning application which was refused by Wiltshire Council have lodged an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate.  This will be decided on the basis of Written Representations procedure.

There is no requirement for Kilmington Parish Council to hold a separate or specific meeting for this application as it has already been Supported and there are no additional comments to be added.

If anyone wishes to make comments on it, they can do so directly at https://acp.planninginspectorate.gov.uk. Alternatively, you can send your comments to:

Any representations received after the deadline will not normally be seen by the Inspector and will be returned.

Any comments you may have already made following the original application will also be forwarded to the Inspectorate (unless they are expressly confidential) but you may withdraw, modify or amplify them now if you wish.

All comments received will be copied to the appellant and will be taken into account by the Inspector in deciding the appeal.

If you wish to receive a copy of the appeal Decision Letter, you should write to the Planning Inspectorate specifically requesting one.

The Planning Inspectorate will not acknowledge your letter unless you specifically ask them to do so. They will, however, ensure that your letter is passed on to the Inspector dealing with the appeal.
